How do you know? The secondaries are vacuum controlled, and the only mod, or adjustment, you can make to it is to change the secondary spring. It sits inside that diaphram on the passenger side of the carb main body. You will have to buy a kit to do this, and the difference would not be huge, which is why I ask how you came to this conclusion.

Take care,
-Chris

99% are. I remember seeing a mechanical secondary 4 bbl once or twice. Can't remember manufacturer, sorry. But I thought it was a cool carb. The throttle(cable-to-linkage) would knock open the plates emmediately. They don't make em like that anymore I guess. Less reliable probably.
