Which tires?

Right now I have 235/75/R15 Goodyear Wrangler HT tires. These tires dont have many miles on them and are already completely worn down (they look like slicks). Well I'm gonna buy new tires, and I want to keep the same 235/75/R15, but I want a tire that wears alot better. I never go into the mud, and I rarely go into shells or anyhting. I just need a good road tire with decent traction(not the best I wanna spin my tires still), and something that will last longer than these Goodyears. Any suggestions? Oh I also want the raised white letters like I currently have.

Cool

If you are looking for a good highway tire that is excellent in the snow and wet conditions. You could look at the Michelin LTX M/S's. Michelin Site

I run these for my winter tires and they are awesome for snow running. Very quiet tire on the highway and they hold up really good for tread wear. This is my opinion but when I know of two other people who wouldn't trade them in for anything other than another set, I just have to recommend them. The other people have them on pre-1997 trucks as well. Dad had a set of goodyears on his and the first day they got about an 1" of snow and he almost put the truck in the ditch while doing a slow turn. He said that was enough and ordered them that afternoon, no problems since then and he even goes up North hunting where it has been quite muddy and/or major amount of snow on the ground. He also pulls a trailer and has no problems. Check out my site for pictures of what they look like on my truck. The truck came with them on the OEM wheels along with the chrome wheels as well that I had from my '87. Let us know what you decide and hope this helps.

Cool

Well Beastie, for me, my summer tire selection has been hasseling me since I put them on. I wanted a wider tire that gripped excellent in the wet conditions. I am driving close to 800 kms on the weekends and I wanted something that wouldn't loose traction in the wet conditions. I did a whole bunch of research and ended up selecting the BF Goodrich Radial T/A's for the truck (275/60R15's). I am not sure why but I am continually getting vibrations in the truck and can't get rid of it. I have had them match-balanced on one of the most expensive balancing machines around. With no luck.

BUT, the LTX's are good tires for the summer too, don't get me wrong. They are good in all conditions but I find them awesome in the snow conditions because they grip like HE!! !!! Down in New Orleans, you don't get the snow like we do ( have you every ... LOL !!! j/k ) but you do get wet conditions. The one thing that I did was to ask around, to see what others have on their trucks. Going to the supermarket, talk to some guys that have a truck OR SUV and you like the look of the tires that they have. See what kind they are and if he likes them or not. That is where you are going to get your most useful information. For my conditions in the winter time and summer if I run them, I choose the LTX's but that is my opinion. I would have went with the LTX's for the summer but they don't come any wider than the 235's. If things don't go well when I deal with Customer Service at Michelin, then I might get a set of Michelin LTX Pilots and a 16" or 17" set of wheels. I will be getting rid of mine whether I trade them in OR just sell them together or separately. Let me know if you have any other questions.

well the last time i saw snow was in 1990 and i was 5 years old so i dont really remember LOL during the winter it is usually about 50-75 degrees so its never cold we had 1 freeze this winter it lasted for 1 1/2 hours!!!!
Well thanks for all the input I think im gonna get those tires i like how they look and you make them seem very good als oall the reports on tirerack from customers said they were great and that they were getting 60,000 miles on them with hard driving. Thats sounds good to me because my good years have only lasted about 20,000 and ill post a pic of them when i find my camera. thanks alot
