Problem with ignition.....

My ignition where you insert key, well, let me say this, ****! It runs my danged battery down!! Does anyone else have this problem, if so, and have fixed it, what did you do(where did you go) to get another one..?? 1994 F 150 5spd

you can buy the mechanical part at an auto parts store . also there was/is a recall on the electrical part . (dont know if your model year is included ) i never got a notice for the ignition recall . i took my truck in for the cross fuel flow recall and they told me about the ignition recall and did the work . might call your local ford dealer ??

i remember hearing something about the ignitions on these trucks that they could spark a fire in the truck. supposedly there was a recall about it.

Even though my truck is 7 or so years old, no warranty, and i'm probably the 3rd owner, would it cost me anything? If so what? I might buy the part and do it myself

mine is a 90' didnt cost me a dime . the electrical part of the ignition was on a recall . ya might call them and ask?????

It's mainly just REALLY wore out..... So call my local ford dealer and see if it was on recall? When did you have yours fixed?
