Went to Hidden Hitch earlier in the week - these guys do tons of hitches - sales and installation.

Anyway, the hitch they gave me will not bolt up to the frame because the receiver interferes with the bottom of the step bumper (8" step?). Anyone else have this problem?

When I try to locate the hitch under the frame, there's a good 1" space between the bottom of the frame rails and the top of the mounting flanges on the hitch, because the receiver hits the bottom of the bumper.

From what I can tell, this is the stock bumper. 1990 F150 4x4.

go back to them tell them you needed a hitch to fit a 10" drop cowboy bumper

 

that or a body lift .....remember to lift the bumpers.
