Remote starter recomendations 93 XLT
Looking for recomendations on installing a remote starter system on my 93 F150 XLT. 4.9, E4OD.
I already have the factory alarm system with the keyless entry function. I do have factory power locks
I want a system with keyless entry feature because my factory remote control is on it's last leg, and it seems the cost of a complete aftermarket start/entry system is no more expensive then buying one new Ford remote control.
I would like to find out who makes the most reliable systems, and ease of installation is a factor of course.
Also, I have been told by a Ford tech that it is recommended I go with a "Ford" system because aftermarket systems can cause the trucks computer (ECM I think) to fail.
Anyone out here have a remote starter in a like truck with comments ????
