Supercharger 96 5.8 F150 which one?

What would be the best supercharger to buy for a 96 5.8 F150 351. Where would be the best place to buy. I would like to have a kit with everything I need to install it my self. Thank you.

well theres 2 types of superchargers. roots-style,and centrifugal. roots style will give you more low end power, while centrifugal will give you more top end power. depends where you want the power and what you'll be doing withthe truck. you can try the supercharger forum, theres plenty of people there who know their stuff when it comes to forced induction.

Summit has Powerdynes for the 351&302 for $2199, 6psi. I know Vortec has them for 302 and 351 FI trucks I just don't know who sells them. They are centrifugal.

AVOID Powerdyne!!!

Trust me.

Vortech and Paxton are both headquarted within 10 minutes of my front door. They are both many times better in quality and customer service than Powerdyne. Around here, we all know that Vortech is the best for the money, but Paxton is decent too. Try Hawaii Racing. (805) 583-8880.

Take care,
-Chris

I second the "avoid powerdyne" motion...They're junk. For a truck, I would seriously consider a roots blower...I think kenne bell makes one for the 351??
