94 F150 5.8l power???

I have been told that there were 2 power levels on the 5.8l in the 9?-96 year trucks, 180hp & 200hp. I have a 94 F150 4x4 A/T w/5.8l w/speed density. Does anyone know what the HP & TQ ratings are for this engine and how I can figure out which version I have? Is there a VIN code that would help me?

Thanks!

I was on the superchips website and they show 88-96 5.8l w/180hp. After talking to someone they said a 200hp version was offered as well. I wonder if the redesign in 92/93 is when the 200hp came out??? I would be bummed to have less hp than the 5.0 of the same year. I bought the bigger motor for more hp & tq. I'm planning a superchip to help out.

I saw that on the superchips site as well. I believe that is an error. The 351's have 210 hp and 315 ft/lbs of torque. The 302's have 185 hp and 270 ft/lbs of torque. The superchips figures seem to round pretty significantly so maybe they mean the 302's had 180 hp, rather than the 351's. I have heard of no such thing as a 90 something 5.8 liter having only 180 hp in a truck. If you look at the Chilton's books, you'll see that the 5.8l came in two flavors-- 210 hp and 245 in the lightning. There's no mention at all about a 180 hp version. All 5.8l came from the factory with the speed density setup, and as far as I know, all else equal as well.

I beleive that their was a "low" horsepower 351 EFI. It was used in some LD F-250s with a 5-speed. They were 8.0:1 compression and all of the other 351's are 210 Hp with 8.8:1 compression. I am not sure on the exact units that had this, I think it was only the under 8500GVW's with the M5OD trans and the over 8500 GVW had the ZF trans and the 210 horsepower. Because to my knowledge they never made a 5.8EFI 5-speed F-150.
