Re Code Scanner

Thanks All for the replys. I am getting an intermittent check engine light. I have also checked the vacuume(at the brake booster line) and it was good. If I disconnect the IAC the idle is good and the truck runs almost normal. Plug it back in and she screams back to 3000 RPM. I ran a voltage check, no short and the IAC is seeing around 8 1/2V.

if you unplug the IAC when the engine is running the engine should die . if it doesn't it is bad, the reading in ohms you get is a bit low . normal range is 7 to 10 ohms. but as i said before if it doesn't die when you unplug it then replace it .

ok never mind .lol i just checked your other thread where you did replace it . you really need to check the codes . and yes even though there may not be a check engine light on there might still be some codes . all of the codes i got from my truck and the problems i had with it . never had the check engine light come on at all. it sounds like you may also have a TPS problem . you need to check the voltage out of the TPS at idle (black and green wires)
it should be right about 1 volt dc. then check at WOT position .
