Codes Gone MPG has improved

i did the hand pump thingy on the egr again yesterday . it cleared the code 32 right away without resetting the ecm . i havent drove all that much since then but i checked it again today and the code is still gone and it seems as if i am back to close to 15 mpg .i'm going to top off the tank a bit later and i will know for sure what it is then....

isn't your EGR new? Are you getting vacuum at the EGR? Mine stuck once, then I smacked it w/ a ratchet handle, freed it up for 25k miles now. Some times Saturn egrs can be "fixed" the same way. Sometimes the diaphrams cant hold much vacuum because they develope small leaks. Good luck.

Lol, ya don't smack it too hard. Take yours off and push up the pintle. If it doesn't come back down, take it back. I tried cleaning one once w/ brake clean and it stuck worse. Dam emissions. We could get these things running mint if we didn't have to work with this emissions crap all the time.

well i would be happy with that mpg, i am getting like 6 mpg, have the same issues as everyone else with the idle. I haven't had time to work on it yet so I will get back to that issue. My rear bearing is shot, getting grease on my axle and my shock and every where honestly. i need to do the valve cover gaskets and change some hoses. to top it all off i need a complete exhaust. i also have to pass inspection in less then a week. lol

want to talk about problems.
