Question Newy with 94 F150 has some Questions

Hello,
my Name is Wolfgang, born in 1966 and I´m very glad to drive a 94 F150, 2WD with 302 V8 and Aut. trans.
I´m from Kerpen /Germany and often it is not so easy to get Parts and Information for my Truck.
At first I want to know wich antifreeze is in the cooling system?
Is it red, green or yellow and can I mix it with an other color?
The next thing I need to optimize is the headlight.
Is there a tip about the best bulbs I can use to get a better low/high beam?
I hope someone can help me.

Greets from Kerpen/Germany
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang!! Welcome!!

I recommend sticking with Motorcraft coolant. You will need to dilute it to 50/50 with distilled water. Don't use tap water!

I recommend Sylvania bulbs.

Hi,
thanks for the fast answer.
My problem is that here in Germany the motorcraft coolant is red or green.
I´m not sure that there have to be yellow coolant in the system.
I bought the truck last autumn and the headlights were horrible.
There were f...ing asian blue bulbs mounted and I changed them with the "normal" Sylvania bulbs.
Now the lights are better but they are far away from good.
In my 2009 Mustang last year I changed the H13 bulbs into Sylvania Silverstar and it seemed to be much better.
So I hope to optimize my lights also with the 9007 Bulbs in my F150.
All things I need for my car I have to order in US and then ship to Germany and pay the customs on top.
So it is´nt so easy for me trieing several things to get the best.
If I get a tip what is the best from experienced F150 guys I´m able to buy the right things.

It will be the standard green coolant.

Yes, stay away from blue light bulbs. They are junk.

I use Silverstar Ultras in mine.

ANY brand standard green ethylene glycol coolant will be fine, and tap water will also be fine. I would recommend you flush it and use fresh coolant.

Thanks for the Information!
I´ll flush the system multiple times and fill 50/50 with new green coolant.
The Sylvania 9007 Silverstar Ultra bulbs are ordered and I hope the headlight will be a bit better.

It depends on the tap water. Some water is harder than others. I plugged a heater core in my 70 Mustang using tap water. It wasn't fun replacing it. Now, I only use distilled water. Like you've been advised, any brand of green anti-freeze will be correct.

Yes that is true.
I have a water softening in my house, so I´m sure to have not hard water.
The problem with distilled water could be that the PH value is smaller than 7 and than you have acidic water wich attack the metal parts.
I hope the words are right and you understand what I mean.
So I´ll take my soft tap water.

The headlights on my 2014 F150 are about as good as holding a candle out of the window. They're absolutely worthless. Hard to believe any auto maker would put such crap on a vehicle. About 3 months ago I bought a set of Alla LED bulbs for it. You have to watch how many lumens(actual light produced) they put out as they have different ones. I bought the 8000 lumens they had. There is a night and day difference now and no, they don't blind another driver. I've driven with the foglights so much that the bulb mount had melted and the lens shattered from the heat and then getting hit with rainwater. I've replaced the mounts and put LEDS in there as well but frankly, I don't need the fogs anymore, the new headlights are that good. Want a great headlight and not blind other folks, the LEDS are fabulous and they don't put out much heat either.
FWIW, I also replaced the worthless reverse lights with LEDS. Made a HUGE difference. Now I can see behind me when backing up at night.

This is a very interesting suggestion for this price.
But I can´t find 9007 bulbs.
The problem in Germany is that police and TÜV are not relaxed if the parts you put in the car are not
official checked .
It is a little bit paltry but if you are catched by the police it cost a lot of money and they could shut down your car.
So often I want to live in the USA.

I've got the silverstars in my 95. They light up the road very good without attracting any unwanted attention.

Even with Silverstar's I found my headlights awful. I switched to an HID kit and find it a lot better than any bulbs I had tried before.

Is this what you guys are calling blue bulbs?
