Mpg Savers
Southernboy, I'm set to average 9.3 on my current tank. 2006 screw with the 5.4 and 2wd, no lift. THAT is worse than it should be, and is all on my driving habits haha
I was getting 12-13 (mixed hwy/cty) on my 95 f150 302 4r70w 4x4, only mod was true dual exhaust with glass packs, then I swapped the auto to a manual 5speed and my mpg averaged 13-14 (mixed hwy/cty) found I had a bad o2 sensor and presto she jumped to 16 and last 2 tanks I almost got 17 (16.7 mixed hwy/cty) just keep the tires aired up and pretend there's a block under the throttle plan your hills that you try getting it rolling before you hit the hard part and feather the throttle and try to keep it from shifting out of overdrive
They can't check my engine light cause it goes off when I cut the vehicle off.
My Lightnings both would do 15-15.5 stock. With March power and amp pullies , off road pipes with free flow exhaust , headers and timing @ 16 degrees. I can get 16.5-17. They run a lot better but the milage gain just offsets the higher priced prem. fuel.
Started using Star Tron, bottle is blue they have 2 kinds first is 1 oz to 6 gals gas second is super concentrated which is the better buy.Went from 12mpg to 15mpg 5.8 auto, now if I can find where to remove the lead from my foot. Wallyworld has the concentrated for 9.99 in the boat dept.
