Raced an SRT10 today.

I don't like street racing and we were in the middle of no where that's the only reason I raced. Do not street race. So after being on the highway for 2 hours I stopped to get gas after that I came up to a red light half a mile up the road where I met the SRT10 I could tell he wanted to race. The light turned green we both floored it I spun through first and got half *** traction in second he hooked good though I couldnt we got up to aprx. 110 I beat him by 1 car length then from 50 we got on it again this time we got even faster woo scary he beat me by 2 car lengths again on the third and final race from a dig got up to 80 he got me by one car length. We stopped at a station after that to let our trucks cool off he claimed 630 whp with full bolt ons and tune (sounded like a mild cam?) and gears (not sure what gears) I have 3:73) I am only making 471 whp so not a bad race real cool guy.

The crew cab automatic, or the stick regular cab? Either way I've driven both and there is no way other than he didn't try hard at all.

With or without a half amp load on the alternator

On what?

That SRT's HP figures may be a little wild, but those suckers are fast as hell for trucks. The 2 door sticks are pretty crazy, though the quad cabs are no slugs

Cams don't really add that much power. And I'm gonna venture a guess that it wasn't cammed at all cause he said it was mild and bang-bang on whether or not it was cammed. Vipers and SRT10's sound like they could be cammed sometimes, as well as some of the newer Challengers. Not sure what it is that does that.

Ranger, doing that in a truck is so much cooler than in a Mustang, ain't it?!

challengers are so much fun to mess with. the srt8 gives me a run for my money but rt and below...most think their car is a rocket and most are poorly informed. they don't get it when a soccer mom SUV moves on on the all mighty challenger

It's just embarrassing when you act like/think you're gonna win and that is NOT the case!
