OBD-I system

On my 1992 F-150 4x4 5.8 auto. The codes that come up when the check engine light come on. Are they stored? I have an intermittent light coming on and would like to know if it can still be checked when the light is off. I have no clue how obd-1 works other than there are no sensors for sensors to make sure they're in range.

Stick an OBDI code reader and see. They should be stored unless you disconnected the battery.

You don't need a reader.
