new here kind of... but not really

hey everyone! was on the site before but decided to start fresh as i hadnt been here in nearly 3 years and have went through 3 other trucks since i was here..

But have a truck i've built and am keeping forever...

bought the truck December 21st, 2011 with 159k miles... for a thousand bucks... but bad trans and need exhaust and cleaned up, also ECU was bad, and engine was burning a lil bit of oil..

1992 Ford F150. 165,280 miles on it.
5.0
AOD..

Transmission was rebuilt and back on the road January 4, 2012.. Completely overhauled and upgraded everywhere including gears etc..

Drove it for a while after that, then had some electrical issues that turned up to be a bad ECU.. swapped it out...

Drove till November, and at that point the burning oil/leaking oil/leaking coolant was unbearable..
ENGINE BUILD TIME!!!

5.0 .030 OVERBORE..
Flat Top (stock mustang pistons) w/valve relief
Trick Flow Track Heat 170cc/58cc chamber heads.
Comp Cam XE-264HR
Scorpion 1.72 Roller Rockers
Pacesetter Short-Tube Headers
EGR/Smog Delete
Massively ported Truck intake.
MSD Coil and Cap/Rotor
Ford Racing 9MM plug wires
NGK FR5 plugs.

Still running on Factory Speed Density...:whistling2:

Should all be around 300hp at wheels.. with better intake and Tune it could be 325ish maybe better at the wheels..

800 miles on the engine now..

ANY QUESTIONS ASK AWAY!!!!

this video of the 0-60 was with 150 miles on the rebuild..

Have you had it on a dyno to verify that HP number? It's likely over 300 at the crank and considerably less at the wheels.

going on dyno soon.. it's gonna be close to 300 at the wheels...

check the specs.. do the math...

those heads alone will get close to 275 at the crank with stock everything else..

plus cam, roller rockers port work to the intake headers...

I did the math.

If it's 350 at the crank it could be about 300 at the rear wheels...............my guess is 290.................

I like your rig. I got the 4X4 model, same truck.

Slick. Don't see the '92/'93 AOD trucks much. Ya'll need to swap in a tach cluster.
