Lifting 88-96 f150?

Im looking to purchase a project truck in the next few days. Its gonna be a reg cab 88-96 f150 4x4. (Havent decided on the body style yet) I have seen I can buy a new 6" rough country lift for $500 and I will do that has soon as I buy the truck. My question is Will I be able to install this lift myself? I have most normal tools sockets, jacks etc...Just have never installed a lift before. I was thinking since its a older truck it might be alittle easier. Thanks!

Older stuff is easier in my opinion, if you get a 78/79 f150 that lift will be real straight forward. I never did a ttb lift but my friends did a rough country lift on a bronco 2 in a gravel drive way with not much tools at all, they also did a toyota 90's toyota same way. My solid axle swap was pretty stright forward too. Only thing to consider with the rough country lifts is they are stiff.

But to answer your question yes I think you could do it your self, go get some big harbor freight jack stands and do some reseach so you know what your doing
