Quick question. Someone told me that the flashing "theft" light to the left of the steering column flashes on all vehicles when the door is open to deter thieves. Does that happen on other's trucks?

The problem is my truck cranks but won't start, I just want to eliminate if this is part of the issue or not.

I am having the same issue with My 99 F150 Theft light Keeps flashing non-stop even while I am driving around. any ideas on how to turn this off or what is causing it to flash?

 

Yer in the pre '97 section. The '97+ PATS bs is a whole different animal.
