Bassani Exhaust

Okay, I posted this on the tail end of another thread and nobody replied, so I'll try again here...

I plan to install a Bassani system onto my 302/auto F-150 (1991 model.) Was interested in knowing what kind of performance increase I can expect in towing and acceleration. The only other mod at this time is the installation of a K&N FIPK.

The Bassani covers everything from the headers back.

Thanks,
-Mike

The increase would be noticable for sure. Come on guys, give him some numbers. BTW, how much is it? I might be interested, you have a link?

Bump.

I would like to know how the bassani exhaust sounds like because I am thinking of getting a complete system (Headers to Tips) for my 1995 F-150 (351w). No one seems to know anything about these systems and I can't find anything in the search.

I looked into the bassani y-pipe(no cat), they are expensive yet the quality is superior.

No numbers from me either, just my therory...

Similar to mustangs when you open up their exhausts, the HP goes up. As you increase the size of pipe, torque is changed, often peak torgue is at a higher RPM, which may not suite you in your truck. Maybe it will. Maybe you want peak torque higher. Then comes the cam that will return the robust torque And increase horse power even more.

I think with your K&N and the complete exhaust system you'll be very satisfied.

I think if you did the full sysytem, headers, hi-flow cats, mufflers, you would have some nice high RPM power. I think you would loose backpressure if you go with something that free flowing. I would use Magnaflow cats and mufflers, to try to keep the loss minimal.
