1991 F150 Engine Compartment Fuse/Relay Box

Does a 1991 F150 have an Engine Compartment Fuse/Relay Box? I think that it should be in the area of the Air Filter or Coolant Reservoir but I simply cannot find it.

Welcome to the forum, n24our. As you see, I moved your thread to the pre-97 model section. You might get more of a response here.

I don't recall there being a fuse box of any kind under hood on that year of truck. Just under dash.

Fuse panel in my 91 Bronco is under the steering column. There is a relay station at the air box where the fuel pump relay and test portal link is at. At least on my EB 5.0.

No there are not fuses under the hood. Fuses are under the dash on the driver side, relays for eec and fuel pump are under the hood where labnerd said. The rest of the relays for like horn n such are behind the glove box I think.

No. '92-up.

Then simply tell us why you're looking for it, and we might be able to help you more. While you're at it, create a signature in your profile with your truck's details. You can omit "F150" and "19.." since we assume that. But put the 2-digit year, engine size, transmission model, trim level, cab/bed configuration & wheelbase, transfer case model (if 4WD), gear ratio, tire size, miles (or KMs), mods, maintenance, damage, repairs, etc. If you run out of room, put it in a signature. If you don't know all the truck's details, read this caption & follow the links in it:

If there are any terms you don't understand, read this: Automotive Terms & Abbreviations

Uploading pics of your truck would also help. This forum supports pics, but it's easier to embed them in your posts if you follow the instructions at this link:

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it! For the benefit for anyone reading this thread in the future, the 1991 Ford F150, 6cyl 4.9l does have inline fuses located near the battery. Thanks again to everyone for your help!

The only fuses I got under the hood are for the hd headlight wiring harness. As far as I know those are either aftermarket or maybe a fused link around the alternator somewheres?

All those wires coming off of the starter solenoid should have fuselinks on them, except the one going to the starter of course.

Hhhhhuuummmmmm, I'm not sure that mine do. What all runs off that post?
If they do the fuses are further down the line and I've looked.

they're fusiblelinks, not fuses, they just look like a peice of heat shrink going over the wire, lemme see if I can find a pic.

They're a lot harder to diagnose and cost a lot more than fuses to replace
