I have been reading a lot on here about wiper issues and need help. You guys helped me when the wipers were not working at all...got that one solved.

1992 F 150

Washer will not work...no noise coming from it at all when I activate it.

I am at a loss as to where to start. I know it could be fuse,relay,pump....? Also...where is the darn pump itself? I had to disconnect the reservoir to replace the driver's side headlight assembly last weekend but did not see a pump under there and I read somewhere thats where it is???

Most pumps are on the bottom side of the resivour and sometimes require the removal of the resivour to get access to it.......check your fuses and connections also.....sometimes the nozzles get plugged.....

 

Tx and I will start there. I just don't recall seeing a pump when I lifted the reservoir up. Do you know which fuse runs the pump? I don't see one labeled that way and everything else is working???

 

If the pump isnt there follow the tubing and look for a remote pump.....I don't know which fuse it would be?

The only wires going to the reservoir go to the pump motor, and the hose goes to the other end of it, where the impeller is. The pump power comes thru the WCM from CB#2 in the dash fuse block. The most likely reason the pump doesn't work is the MFS. Read these captions:

 

Great...thanks so much Steve83. Now I have to ask where the MFS is in the 1992 F 150. Sorry if that sounds dumb but this is the first time I have had to concern myself with it.
