Turn signals

When I turn the turn signal on it flashes once then it seems like they don't work, but I looked real close and the lights are like flickering real dim and really fast.
So is it a relay? The falsher thing in the fuse box? A bulb? Or I hope not the switch?
The 4 ways work fine.

Replace the flasher, breaker, or whatever other folks call it. They are usually round and located in the fuse box, but I have seen rectangular flashers also. They are very cheap.

Okay so I know it's flasher, but this is funny.
Don't get to the parts store in time so I'm stuck with ADHD turn signals.
Park the truck and go out with some friends spottin deer and what not, get back to my truck and they still don't work like I figured. Then I get half way home, flip on the turn signal and the work. They both work.
And thanks bud, it's pretty old needs some updatin.
