Open Plug Question

Got a connector that's not attached to anything on my 93 F150 302. The wires to it are wht/grn and gry/red. Location is by the PS pump. Any ideas? I don't see any ref to a wht/grn or lt grey/grn wire in my chiltons.

Chilton's is a waste, IMO. Gy/R is a common Ford ground color, but I don't recognize Wh/Gn. It's probably Y/LG, which would match the PSP. Someone probably replaced the PS hose with one that lacks the fitting for the PSP switch. Don't worry about it - it only bumps the idle when you're steering at low RPM. It's not needed.

Good deal! Thanks Steve. I'm trying to work out all the little bugs in this truck. Just got the A/C working but found that the airflow diverts to the defroster when the RPM are above about 2K. Subject for another post.

No, you don't need to start another thread. Just read this caption:

Thanks again Steve! I found the white hose cracked at the actuator. Just as the thread stated, the it is very degraded so I'll be replacing it with black hose. I'm hoping that there a leak in that hose that might be causing my engine surging problem.
