I have a 97 281 (4.6l) supercab auto with no mods except for duals. anyone know what ill be running compared to him.

I for got to mention he has chrome 20's? Will he smoke the living daylights out of me?

Well, I'd say the 302 will win. Mind you this is not an expert opinion. Just a comparison from what I've seen around where I live. You've got a supercab, he doesn't---his advantage. He has a chip and intake, you don't---his advantage. And he has a manual, which if he knows what he's doing with it, should be better than your auto. Although, you didn't say what rearends you both have, which makes a big difference. But, I'd have to say the 302 will win this one. And that's my opinion that I think I would put money on.

Well me an him ran em Friday night and it was a good race. I thought he would have smoked me...man his truck was loud. I had an extra guy in my truck that weighted 170 and im the 220 pounder...he didnt have anyone with him and i beat him off the line and by about a truck length and still pulling. It was a close race. We raced a second time for fun and i have a total of 3 peeps in my truck an i barely inched him. Cant wait till i get my chip and see what kind of difference it makes. I need to call him to come wash my truck now...lol!

20" rims were'nt made for racing, they are gonna be weighing him down quite a bit.

I had a '92 302 F-150, 4x4. It smoked my brothers '97 4.6 in a race by at least a length and a half in quarter mile. All was done to the 302 was a cat back exhaust. That pickup would absolutely fly. I wish I could have someone run my '92 against my '99 with a 5.4 now. I am sure the 5.4 would eat it alive.
