Steering Column Swap Info Needed

I am needing to do a swap on my 95 F150. I am having trouble finding a column here locally. The one I did find is from a 95 F250. The 95 F250 did not have an airbag and nor does it have the overdrive button on the shifter.

Would this column work in the swap?

I am pretty sure I would have to swap the wiring harness and use my shift lever. From what I have read the shift lever has a wire that comes out of it that should plug into the harness. Is this correct?

If this will work is there anything else I need to consider?

Depends on what's wrong with your original column. If the shifter & airbag are OK, just transfer them to the replacement. The column doesn't have a harness - just takeouts from the dash harness that connect to things on the column. Click my tan CV in my signature & read the captions in the Steering Column album.

Thanks for the reply Steve.

The actuator broke on my column. The rest is still good so I am going to swap it over.

Steve, do you want any of the leftover parts after the swap?

No, thanks. I have a garage full, and an upstairs room with interior parts, and a side yard with the inside of the fence covered in parts, and a new shed full of junk.
