35's?

Quick question. Will my truck clear 35's temporarily? I have a 3" body lift and no front bumper (tubular prerunner) I'm in the process of having my Dana 44 rebuilt so I'm still using the 2wd front end. I'll be using a 6" lift with the Dana more than likely. Once I get all that together I know I won't have a problem. But how about for the time being?

Depends on how fast you go over bumps, how big the bumps are, and how far you turn the wheel. If the tires are new, I wouldn't risk damaging them. But 33s will fit with almost no rub, so I suspect 35s won't hit much even at stock body/suspension height. I wouldn't expect them to hit with 3" body lift, but mount them & do some articulation tests to be sure. Any loading docks near you?

Ya, there's a few a couple miles from here I could probably use. I figured my biggest problem would be rubbing the radius arms. My 31's do that and they're only 10.5's. Most the 33's I've seen are 12.5's along with the 35's. You think they'll slip over the stock rims? I can't remember if they where 7.5" or 8" wide. Haha the shop I used to work at only had one width guage (jaw type) and it couldn't close around my 31's so I never got to see for myself haha.

My 31's rub the radius arms at full turn so 35 will but if you are careful and it's only temporary I don't see why it wouldn't work..

Rubbing the radius arms doesn't matter at all. Only the body & bumper.

The stock rims are 7.5" wide
The tire manufacturers list 35x12.5-15 tires for fitment on 8.5"-11" rims.
Let your conscience be your guide on that but I sure wouldn't run the narrow rims with that size.
The next 17 posters will all tell you that they know more than the tire engineers and that they've run that size on stock rims forever with no problems. You get to decide whether you want to believe them or the guys who designed the tires.

Haha, well these tires will be for 1) rock/desert trail 2) hill climbing 3) the possibility of seeing a little air if you get my drift . So I'm definatly going to try and find 9 inch set for cheap. I figure that will provide a few inches of sidewall to protect them, yet plenty of "footprint" for any kind of extreme load these guys might see on the trail. Thanks again guys!

Dude's pretty adamant bout it! haha

A wider rim would def help for what you want, You need beadlocks too, that and some super swampers.

Beadlocks won't help him do anything, and neither will swampers. He's in Indiana - not Utah.
