I'm replacing the power steering pump in my 94 f150, and i'm wondering how to flush the lines going to the steering box. Thanks!

 

I would try posting this in the pre-97 forums, you might get better responses there

If you have pump debris in the box & lines, flushing them won't help much. Put a filter on the low-pressure return line going to the reservoir to protect the new pump, and change it after about a hundred miles. That should get most of the debris out of the system. Try to get one with a magnet, or put a magnet in the new reservoir, to pick up any future debris.



If you haven't already bought a pump, I strongly suggest swapping to a Saginaw. You can sometimes find an aftermarket conversion pump that bolts up to your current bracket, or you can swap the bracket/pump/lines for the system from an E-150 with the same engine (which engine do you have?), which doesn't require pulling the pulley (the biggest PITA of changing a pump).
