Question Pulley Whine

I have replaced the alternator and tension pulley, and still have the same whining, screaching noise. The engine starts fine, then stalls soon after.
How can I diagnose the idler and power steering pulleys?
Thanks for any advice.
Tim

Does the noise go away when you remove the drive belt?

It's best to keep it all in one thread.

How did you change the alternator and tensioner pulley without removing the drive belt?
