kickdown

I need to know if there is a aftermarket kickdown rod for a 4.9 witha four barrel. Conversion went smooth but def need a kickdown any sugestions?

Why not use an original kickdown rod??? Try JBG, LMC, etc.

If the carb has a kickdown lever on it (some 4 barrels don't), you should be able to modify the rod to work. If not, don't know how you'll do it unless you pull the gearshift into second to pass then shift back to drive. That is all the kickdown does only the built in one allows only so much speed before it will automatically upshift. If you pull the shifter, you stay in 2nd gear.
