Engine Swap

So after a lot of consideration I'm contemplating pulling out the tired old 300 and dropping in something a little bigger. I'm thinking about putting in a 351. Are there any issues I might need to address to make this a reality? Any help would be much appreciated.

Frame mounts for the engine, computer, wiring harnesses, fuel lines, radiator, hoses, accessory mounts, flywheel, TIME AND KNOWHOW. It's not a hard swap, but if you want to keep it fuel injected, you would be easier to find a wrecked truck with the engine you want and swap it all over.

Thanks for the info. I do plan on keeping it fuel injected and hopefully I will be able to find everything soon.

For just a little more work, you could have a 4.6L or 5.4L; either will be better than a 5.8L, in almost every way.

In any case, I'd go to MAF OBD-II. Unfortunately, the 5.8L was never built distributorless, like the 5.0, 4.6, & 5.4.
