Question What catagory do I belong to here at F-150 online?

Just wondering where I should be hanging out to get the most useful information in regards to my latest F-150?

I have a 1984 Ford F-150 with 300 I-6, 2 wheel drive with a 1 barrel carb.
8.8 rear-end I think (10 bolts), 4 speed manual transmission
I traded my grocery-go-getter for this truck
My grocery-go-getter was a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan with 200,000 miles 100% all original everything! This was an even trade for my Truck. my van was worth $1300.00 to $1500.00,and the owner of the truck wanted $2400.00 for this truck.
The trader presented me with his original bill of sale where he purchased the truck for $750.00 the he presented to me $1700.00 worth of receipts for a rebuilt motor, rebuilt transmission, and rebuilt rear-end, plus many bolt ons' also replaced in addition to above listed(starter, alternator, water pump, carberator, rear shocks, new am-fm-cd player, new speakers, new dash cover, cab-bed bushing set, additional 2nd carberator (Weber 2 barrel with adapter plate for fit to my application)!
And many many more additional things that was done frame painted, interior removed and undercoated, new rubber mat inside cab, shifter boot cover, shifter ****, heater control switch, new front fender, replacement rear quarter replacement panel for passenger side, new cat-back exhaust (super quiet can't hear it running), brand new spare tire and rim, and i'm sure I am forgetting some additional things that was done and bought for this truck!!

But anyways back to the reason for this post, thier isn't a I-6 catagory for me to call home, and while I am pre 1997 I see very few posts in regards to trucks as old as mine running the drive train I am running, So I am questioning where I belong to get the most useful information to assist me with my project!

I do have a few odd's and ends jobs to do to this truck like replace the rear-leaf spring hangers (truck in the air right now for this to happen in the morning, parts already purchased and grade 8 hardware to complete the application installation!
Install a 5,000 lb or larger trailer hitch so I can tow my boat and camper safetly (anyone have one sitting around you are willing to sell)
Also plan to replace tires and wheels almost immediately as I did see large volume of cracking in the tread line of the tires currently installed!
Also project to come will be installing the new Weber 2brl carberator but if it isn't needed then i might not be making this change, as I am quite fond of this truck being close to original so maybe keeping the single barrel on won't be an issue!
Another project will be doing some cosmetic things to make the truck look better as it isn't the best looking thing on the road it will certainly be the best driving thing around these parts!!
I will be looking for replacement door panels both sides and installing them.
Also will be seeking help with fuel sending unit when I finish with the rear leaf spring hangers! Ford had suggested I didn't need to replace then entire fuel sending unit as I would only need to replace a certain brass part of the fuel sending unit to make the fuel gauge work again!! So I will be seeking help with this almost immediately!
Ok well if anyone has a finger to point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!
Thanks again, MrShadetree!!

I didn't say you didn't belong here; I merely suggested two other sites which you might find interesting and/or useful.

There are some better site for your years, but IMO you should hang right here, there are plenty of guys here that might now own a 2010 F-150, but have bought various years and have owned them for decades. Many guys have owned a truck with the straight 6 (including myself) and have loads of info. If I were you I would not go anywhere, the wealth of knowlege on this site is out of this world.

True. 6 outta 10 of mine were I-6's! But, currently an 87' 302. All of my I-6's made it into the 200K's! I sold 1 at 278K still running fine. None junked.

Wow I am excited at the thought that I could possibly get that sort of mileage out of my engine since its brand new fresh rebuild!! If that is the case then this truck should in essense take me to my grave!

I really hope my I-6 performs to my expectations!! I am getting ready to close the leaf spring hanger and shackle project maybe tomorrow, then next project will probably be the carburator, after speaking with an associate He is telling me I should be replacing my stock 1 barrel electrical carb. for a new mechanical carb. and stick with a single barrel for maximum fuel economy as well as maximum performance? I am in question on this as I feel a 2 barrel will work less not have to pump as much gas to perform the same function! Plus give me an extra ummph when I need it or want it?

Chime in let me know where you all stand on this issue!!

dang; I should of started a new thread with this topic instead of doing a run-off from a topic non-relative to this particular issue!!
