Newbie. with a 90 F150

Me and my girlfriend recently picked up a '90 F-150 standard cab short bed. So of course now I want to change everything. This is my first Ford, Always owned Chevy. But my question is will the '92 and newer front end fit on this old truck, and what has to be swapped out? Thanks for all the input

Yup, it will fit. Everything from the firewall forward has to be swapped. Have fun with that.

Heh, especially if your fenders are spot-welded like mine are. I was thinking of drilling through the welds and just bolting the new fender on through the holes.

Is the front-end swap a cosmetic choice, or do you need to replace the front-end due to damage or something and just happen to have a '92 to pull from? Just curious, because if it's the latter, depending on the damage, it might just be easier (and perhaps cheaper) to try to fix/replace what you can with parts from the same year.

If it's the former, well, then that's your preference, and if you want to go to the trouble in order to obtain what you want, then more power to you.

Personally, I think it's a lot of trouble for such a small change.

well I'm looking for after market parts suck as lights, hoods and some other things but I can't seem to find anything for this year and it's driving me crazy. If anyone has any leads on grills, lights and hoods for the '90 please let me know.
