So what should I do first?

So for those of you that don't know I just bought a 1993 Ford F150 XLT Ext. Cab Long Bed with the 5.0L V8. I want to know what you guys think I should do as a preliminary replacement. It has 213000 on the body and 60,000 on the engine(supposively). I already replaced the Air Filter and breather filter. I bought a new fuel filter but can't find the inertia switch next to the brake pedal and I have a new PCV valve but I don't know where that is or how easy it is to get to it. I have a pretty small oil leak that looks to be the rear main seal I guess but I think I'm paying someone the 500 for that and the 4WD doesn't engage oh and the battery was replaced so the check engine light is on and give me code 15 which the engine off, 98 and 51 with the engine on. Thanks in advance.

first off, whenever i buy a new used vehicle i always start with a tune up and fluids.

the PCV should be, IIRC, near the back of the valve cover on the left side under the intake. dont quote me, im not a v-8 guy. as for the fuel filter, let the truck site for a few hrs and that'll relieve the pressure. just squirt the fittings up with some PB blaster or whatever u like before u start. i like to tie a rag around my wrist to keep the gas from runing down my arms.

u shouldnt have any CELs for just having a battery replaced. disconnect the negative cable for 10 minutes to reset the computer. from the sounds of ur code, something is astray...
- code 15 (O)
No Keep Alive Memory power to PCM pin 1 or bad PCM (Memory Test Failure)
- code 98 (R)
Did not pass KOEO yet (Get 11 in KOEO first)

http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=14 for more on code 15
http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=48 for more on code 98

do u have push button 4wd? if so the actuator may be siezed up. fullsize bronco dot com has a write up in the tech section on how to reapir/replace that.

I know this is a little late, but I just did the fuel filter on my 1993 f150 5.0L and to the right of the intake manifold there is a "fuel rail" with something similar to a tire valve stem cap. Take the cap off "turn counter clockwise" and there is a little needle. Press the needle with something small to relieve pressure. It takes the 5/16 line removal tool also to relieve the spring in the fuel line that goes around the nipple of the fuel filter.
