DZanEana 44 gear ratio
DZanEana 44 gear ratio
Just curious if there would be a way to check the gear ratio in my axle I bought. I can't find a tag, and I really don't want to have to pull it apart as it's all intact.
Ya but I'm tryin to find the exact ratio so I can redo my rear to match. I didn't know what all ratios were available. I was worried about mixing say a 4.11 and 4.10 and obviously having a problem.
Pull the cover and count the teeth on the ring gear and pinion. divide the number of teeth on the ring with those on the pinion.
4.11 and 4.10 shouldn't cause an issue. I have 5.13 in the front and 5.14 in the rear of my explorer.

4.10 and 4.11 arent gonna mess you up PERIOD, as code said pull the diff cover and count... you want get messed up unless you go with a 3.73 and 4.11 and then you want aslong as your only in the mud... in some of our mudtrucks we run 3.73 rear and 3.07 front granted we have 44's rear and 38's front
