'96 Pushrod cover (300c.i.)
96 2wd, with straight 6. The pushrod cover is leaking pretty bad. I have a new gasket and looking at replacing it. From researching post, it seems as an easy fix. Do you have to pull the distributor? or can you work around it. What about coil pack and and any brackets? Thanks for the help. Once I get this leak fixed, it's on to the oil pan gasket.

thanks for the advice, I have not worked on the cover this week, once it warms back up this weekend, I should have time. I will get some gasket adhesive spray to help. I think the gasket I have is a cork type, does that sound right. I had a friend pick up a bunch of parts at his shop cost. Also, does the silicone/RTV do anything bad or just not help seal it? and no I did not try this, just wanting to know for future reference.
