Battery died now it won't shut off.

Went out to start my truck up and the battery was dead. I jumped it and took it for a 15 minute drive, came back home went to shut it off and it's still running! Is it suppose to do that so if I were to go somewhere and shut it off it won't leave me stranded?

Shut off as in you turned the ignition to OFF and pulled the key?

Yup. I could walk around with the key in my pocket and the truck still ran.

I found out what it was though. I hit the remote start button and it shut off. Then went and put the key in the ignition and turned it on, started up fine, then shut it off and it shut off fine. So it was somethin with the remote start that was taking over the ignition I'm guessing.
