Running real rich

Ok been down the tune-up route and the truck is still running rich. Plugs wires rotor cap.

Idles and runs pretty good considering the mileage 247,000, but gas mileage is bad, as is the fuel smell coming out of the tailpipe.

Should I just start replacing parts to see if one thing fixes the raw fuel smell? What would you start with?

7.5L 460.

Thanks, Rodney

I already have an o2 in hand so I'll put that on.

And seeing that absolutely nothing was reaplced on this truck when I bought it, it is very likely the FPR is not doing that at all.

Thanks guys.

Change your coolant temp sensor for the computer. When it goes bad it will act like the (choke ) is on, dumping fuel.

Glad you brought that to my attention.

I tried to change the O2. Wow it's a toughy.

I found another issue as well. The EGR tube is split in a few places.
