E303 Ford racing cam, HV oil pump, timing set, gasket set, and Shorty Motorsport headers are here now. I hope to tear it apart before I have to go out of town for a week for a class that work is sending me to. If not, I'll get it when I get back. Pics will be taken along the way.

Well, I took the truck in for exhaust, and had that done, with 2 o2 sensors placed in the downpipes. Then took the truck home, and tore the engine down. Swapped in a E303 Ford Racing cam, replaced the timing chain...yada yada yada. Put in the A9L Mustang computer, and repinned everything needed to switch the truck over to MAF. Truck fired right up, with a warm glow of a check engine light. Codes 54, 81 and 82 are in there. Anyone else had this issue? I have searched and retraced my steps, but cant figure out whats going on with the trouble codes. 54 says a ACT sensor voltage reading too high, but I check it and its under 5 volts. The others, 81 and 82, seem to be smog related, and I truly could care less about them. Any help is appreciated.

Jumper it to the hot side of the connector. read from its other terminal to the return connection path to the computer.http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=29 I think they're only $8 anyway. Slightly below 5v is ok across the connector., but not necessarily from the sensor back to the ECU. Did you reconnect the Thermactors hanging above the EGR regulator. They're combo electrical & Vac?

About to modify the harness for the new firing order. While the engine is opened up, going to install new main bearings, rob bearings, oil and water pumps. This is going to be a fun lil project. Also going with Motorsport "shorty" headers.
Question: what year model did Ford trucks (F-150) go to MAF? I was thinking it was '97, but you have a MAF harness from a '95? Did I read that correctly?

Ymeski, I used the ACT from the 95 F-150, which is in the air box, not the intake. Think that could be an issue being that I used a 91 Mustand Processor?

Skip that, I looked up ACT sensors for both. Same part number. Thats not it! HAHA

Well, upon double checking, I pinned out CANP, TAB, and TAD incorrectly. After repinning, the engine lamp is off. As far as ACT, it was getting source from an improper location. Thats repaired too, running like a dream.

Autozone pulled that crap on me too! the one used in an airbox has a plastic tip & will last about 4 minutes in the intake. The one for the intake is brass. Picked 1 up at NAPA. Dealer carries them too.

Some 95's (especially if originally licensed in California). Most 96's.

The PIP sensor is so accurate that cam changes can sometime create problems. The computer is programmed when to open fuel injectors in relation to the valve timing from PIP. Changing the valve timing with a cam swap won't be noticed by the computer. So optimal performance and idle will not be to their true potential. Not sure what the workaround is, but I'm sure there is one, & the syncronicity problem would be directly proportional to how aggressive you went w/ the Cam.

Only issue I have now is an occasional fault code, that being lean on both banks. Not really sure how to repair that matter, as it'll either be a computer re-program, or bigger injectors, or both. More to come. But the truck is running very nicely. I'll figure something out. MAF sure is nice for a much snappier throttle response

Mine ran a bit lean too.

Have you checked the fuel pressure? fuel filter?

I put in an adjustable regulator and cranked up the pressure slightly.
