I bet they wouldn't sell it for $1200 either if they still lived there.

 

For what it's worth... my brother now has my dad's 1990 F-250 XLT Lariat in MINT condition. Barely saw winters for the most part, but it still was driving for a while in them and the thing is incredibly clean... no rust at all. As Jerame said... cleaning them properly (as I know you obviously know Glc) will keep these trucks or any vehicle for that matter in good shape. It's all about the effort you put in and how much you value your ride.

 

rust happens anywhere in the country if the vehicle isn't maintained properly and cleaned. just saying, just belt is an excuse, her in Mass. we get plenty of rust buckets and mint/perfect finds, just depends on the previous owners care habits.
