'96 F150 I-6 (300 cid) cooling fan?
While trying to swap the fan clutch on my brother's '96 I noticed his fan blades appeared to be jacked up. I'm no expert but I have worked on quite a few vehicles and I've never seen any blades shaped/formed like his. Some of the bolt heads are damaged which gives me another clue that this is from mechanical damage to the fan.
It's also helpful to note that way, way back he ran over a 300 to 400 lb cow and effed up the front end of the truck.
In my opinion I think some over eager repair dude wedged a tool down there to pry something...
All pix are here: jacked up fan
And yeah, we never did get the clutch replaced. Where ever he got the clutch and tools from, the tools were a bit too thick. We had to take the bolts out of the fan to fit both tools and then we'd have trouble keeping the pulley tool on the bolt heads while I tried to wrench on the nut...
