Factory leather wrapped steering wheel

I like to replace it since 13 years of use and sun are now taking its toll on it. Is this something that will have to be done at an upholstery shop?

Well it all depends, if you want to re-wrap the steering wheel, and if you have cruise control and want to keep it, then yeah i would unless you know how to do it, and if you want to just replace the steering wheel then go to a parts store or online and get you a new steering wheel and put it on. If you want to go really cheap just get a steering wheel cover, they have some cool ones with ford and ford racing on them.

After you price those options, e-mail me.

I had no idea it was that involved. Going to go to a specialty leather shop and see what they tell me. I hate to opt out for the "cheap fix."

I always cover my new vehicles leather steering wheel covers with a Wheelskins cover. They're real leather and they are sewn on (by you) and look almost identical to the original (they're sewn on from the inside diameter). You can get them on eBay or several other online stores and they're only like $40 + shipping. I cover my factory steering wheel cover, so I never have to worry about it wearing on me. Hope this helps.
