lots of play in the steering?

lots of play in the steering?

theres LOTS of play in my steering wheel, not a bad thing really i just like a little tighter steering is there a way to fix this or is it common in these trucks?


btw its a 95 long bed reg cab 4x2

Of course - find the slop & tighten/replace as needed. Start at the steering wheel & work your way thru the steering linkage, to the wheel bearings, & back to the frame. There are ~8 ball-type joints, ~8 bearings, 4 big rubber bushings, 2 u-joints, a molded rubber joint, & the steering box. Any or all of them could be contributing to your symptom.
