86 F150 A/C Compressor Clutch Removal

I understand you need a special tool but no one nearby has one so can anyone tell me the bolt size and thread size that would work for this purpose? It looks like a 15/16 with 12 NC threads but not sure. Thanks.

Remove the nut & pry the clutch off the shaft - no special tool needed. But many parts stores now only sell clutches installed on compressors, so make sure you can buy one before you go to the effort.

Hey Steve, depending on where this guy lives, Autozone--dang, I love that store!!--sells just the clutch. But make sure just the clutch is bad as I tried just replacing my clutch, as it had locked up, but it ruined the compressor and had to have my whole AC system replaced.

If I needed a grease rag, I wouldn't shop the zone.
