'92 5.8l

hey just wonderin if the 5.8 L (351 CID) V8 was a good engine? is there anything that i need to know about it? thinkin bout gettin it

the 5.8 is one of the best engines i've seen. IMO they hold up better than any other engine that i've seen. the older ford engines were pretty bad about carbon buildup though. so you may need to hook it up to a carbon/motor vac or run some seafoam through it and you should be good.

there arent many shops that do those carbon vacs anymore, at least not many that i see. dealerships may still do them, not completely sure. but seafoam works well. i've seen some engines that has had seafoam ran through it and it works real well. the only negative things that i've heard is that all the crap cleaned out and thrown into the exhaust system can end up clogging up the cat convertor.

ah that aint goin to be a prob cause the cats aint goin to be on if i get it. ima test drive it tomorrow
