My 1986 starts with a rough idle and does not have any power. Once it warms up it sounds ok but it has no power. I had the engine rebuilt about 6 months ago.

when the motor was built, did it get a tuneup? i think 1986 had 2 fuel filters. they had problems because not many people knew about both of them. i would change them, its worth a try.

First check the firing order and timing .

Second something (oil) on the oxygen sensor.
replug all sensors, also check air sensors.
Third transmission (torque converter)

I have been there with all three, after major work.
