I have a 1990 Bronco with a 302. It recently began to idle high, like 1100 RPM's, and drop to 400 when put in neutral, than gradually pick up to around 800 RPM. It also cuts out when starting from a stop, but then picks up and runs strong. Starting the motor after sitting overnight is no problem, but if the motor is warmed up, then shut off, it does not want to start up again. The only way is to go to wide open throttle. I have cleaned the idle air control valve, and this did not make a difference. I need help, Ford wants too much for a diagnosis, any help would be appreciated.
