'93 F150 Brake Lines
After storing my '93 F150 for 6 months, I found the steel brake lines corroded where they join at the left and right flow diverter. The diverter is located on a frame flange under the drivers side. There is a clip holding the diverter to the frame. The whole assembly is corroded into one big ball. I cleaned it up and soaked the couplings in penetrating fluid. Due to the extream corrosion there is no chance of getting the unions apart.
The question I pose to all, is information about any aftermarket brake line systems that would be cheaper than OEM and also any service tips anyone has. Due to the massive amount of corrosion I feel that I will have to replace both left and right sides of the front brake system. The master cylinder is fine. But I am looking at replacing everything down stream of the master cylinder excluding the calipers.
