I had the same problem when i was running straight pipes on my '92 F-150. Not enough beackpressure to run the cruise, hooked up glass packs an solved my problem.

chefbill, I think you have an all electric cruise control. Servo and amp are in one unit on driver fender, no vac hoses, only wires and throttle pull cable. Do you have a stick or auto trans? Brake lights work? You said the Horn works, good. And no ABS light remaining on after startup, no ABS troublecode blinking away, good. Fuses good? Do you have a digital voltmeter and know how to use it? Tough to troubleshoot this without one.

Question

I have a auto. trans.,and you are right about the type of cruise control.Fuses are good, wires and cable on unit are fine, dont have volt meter. Is there a relay or such which I can just replace and see if that works?
