Exclamation I need your HELP!

I have a '92 F-150 4x4 with a 302. The pickup has 92,500 miles on it and has had no problems to date. I do have the knock at idle every so often but I am not worried abou that. My problem is my pickup dies 7 out of 10 times when you put in in reverse the charge gauge drops drastically the motor spits an sputters then dies. Also if you are driving along and a red light pops up and you leave it in gear and hold in brake she does the same thing and dies out. This is very annoying and embarrassin. Does anyone have any ideas what is happening?

I had my truck do about the same thing around 35,000. It was the idle air bypass valve on the throttle body. Took it off, cleaned it, and good as new.

Hank,

Thank you for the suggestion! I will look into cleaning that this weekend once I get some time off of work.

Anyone else have any suggestions? Thank you all! ;-)
