Try this site. The online store isn't up yet and I just ordered the catalog earlier today so I'm not sure what they have. http://www.truckperformancewhs.com/
I think it's owned by the same company as Mustangsunlimited.com I saw the link in their ad in a Mustang mag.

One thing your in luck because the 5.0 was/is a popular engine in Ford motorsports.

I go aftermarket. Get yourself one of these magazines. Its not entirely for Ford trucks, or trucks period. But they do have alot of mods for the 302.

Go get Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. Best 5.0 publication available. Things likes heads, pistons, etc. aren't truck specific. Go with this mag.. it's great.

Thanks for some of these suggestios. I just find it incredable that the number 1 selling truck in the country doesn't have its own magazine. Anyways, when I do add some of the goodies, is the computer in my truck going to "readily" accept them?

fordby4: Your "computer" will accept any mod, but it's the type of air metering system that might limit you. If you have Mass Air, you're in look... you can do just about any mod, and the computer will be able to adjust itself for it. Speed Density, however, requires switching to mass air, or getting your computer reflashed for mods much more radical then a cam.

Talking Engine Mods....

Well, I have yet one more inquiry. When I get my trucks body repainted, it will look nice. And, I want it to run as good as it looks. I have an '88 F-150 with the 302. I'd like to build it up. I've looked for a catalog for FORD trucks. I see Chevy truck catalogs, and about a million others, but I never see a FORD truck magazine I can order stuff for my truck from. The closest I have come it a Mustang magazine.. but even then, the parts are different.

Does anyone know of a FORD truck magazine or catalog that has parts like heads, pistons, etc? I mentioned that I was thinking of a engine rebuild. If I do get some performance mods for it, I'd like to have the engine redone at a local shop, and let them put the goodies on for me. Is there anything I sould know about adding stuff. Will my computer mess with me, or anything else.

Thanks a bunch

Since your truck is an 88, I don't think it did have mass air. I know what mass air looks like, but not quite what S/D looks like. If you've got mass air, there should be a silver unit bolted directly behind your airbox with some wires coming off of it. Tubing should feed off of it, and on over to the throttle body.

Mass Air is an air sensing system that can accept and re-calibrate itself for large differences in "air flow" as it is constantly monitoring the amount of air entering the engine.

Speed Density, however, uses a set of pre-programmed "guidelines" for determing the information it should send to the engine. Speed Density cannot get the information straight when you move to big mods.

Speed Density system's have a map sensor over where the heater core is, on the outside right under the hood. Like Jason said, you seriously limited, but you can do outside mods, headers, etc. One thing thats gonna happen for me in July, Im ditching EFI for a carb and intake combo and also yanking the cam for a new one and a few others. The intake and carb swap is about $350 where a Mass air swap is around 600. 1989 F-150 302 4x4
