Post Defrosting problems

On cold days when the windshield is frosted, my defroster doesn't defrost the whole windshield. It leaves a frosted section on the windshield about 2/3 over from the driver side. The unfrosted section is about 6" wide. Any ides on what this could be? It usually only does it if it is *really* cold outside.

Is the vent blowing hot air? If not, most likely somethings blocking it. Pens or anything you set on the upper dash sometimes fall down.

That was my first thought, I looked at it but it is kind of hard to see in those vents...I guess I'll have to get up on the hood or something and look at it to get a closer/better look. Thanks Pastmaster!
