Hey NOMO: I went out and did a re-check on the spacer. Its there. What exactly is it supposed to do? I am not sure that the '89 has it. I agree, I bought the Filtercharger this summer and had the choice of either the filter for 37, or the FIPK for 160. It guarenteed 19% increase in hp and mpg. HMMMM, maybe I made a mistake? Oh well, maybe I'll save for the kit and put the filter in the other truck.

It's my understanding that the spacer improves torque production at lower rpms by effectively lengthening the runners.

Would a set of mildly ported iron GT-40 heads work on a speed density controlled 5.0 or would they get outside of the computer's range. I happen to have a set left over from changing my Mustang to aluminum and I want to give them a good home.
